How to locate a book in libraries other than Meiji University Library

For materials not held by Meiji University Library, patrons can use the following collection search systems and organizations:

Yamanote Line Private University Library Consortium

Among eight universities, including Aoyama Gakuin University, Gakushuin University, Kokugakuin University, Toyo University, Hosei University, Meijigakuin University, Rikkyo University, and Meiji University, a mutual cooperation agreement has been concluded. Students of these universities can use the main library and designated branch libraries of other universities by showing their student ID cards. They can also check out books in these libraries by following the prescribed procedures. For details, please refer to the terms of use of each university. For searches, patrons can either use the Yamanote Line Private University Library Consortium OPAC or run a cross search on the Meiji University OPAC.

NACSIS Webcat

This is a book and periodical information navigator (search system) provided by the National Institute of Informatics (NII). Patrons can find Japanese universities that hold the desired materials. For the use of this navigator, please refer to the Reference Service. This system is equipped with an associative search function, which allows patrons to find books related to their interest. For recent materials, it also provides the contents of the table of content, the band, and the covers of each book.

National Diet Library

The collection of the National Diet Library (NDL) can be searched via NDL OPAC. Anyone over 18 can use the main library of NDL located in Nagata-cho, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, and read and make copies of books and periodicals there.
